Health Concern

I feel that my biggest health concern is chidhood obesity. I feel as if there are too many young children walking around who are over weight and parents are not doing anything to help prevent this. At no point in time should a 13 year old be 200 pounds. My sister is 13 and she and her friend are both over weight. My sister is just extra tall so her weight is in her height but she also eats entirely too much junk food. My mom will get angry at her and tell her no but yet she will still continue to buy unhealthy snacks. My sister also likes to eat too many roman noodles, my mom can cook a whole homecooked meal and my mom will allow her to eat noodles instead of regualr food. Also her friend is about 5 feet and 215 lbs. Her mom goes to the gym all the time but does not make her daughter go. I just fear that they will have health problems later on in life if the problem isn't corrected now. Children should not have diabetes and breathing problems, they should be out running around and playing outside. Instead too many of them are locked in their rooms on facebook and twitter or playing video games. Technology is a big part of the reason why there is childhood obesisty. I think that parents should make their child participate in an activitie for at least a hour a day and try to buy heathly snacks instead of chips and cookies. They should eat fruit in the diet everyday as well. And slow down on the buying of McDonalds and Burger Kings, every child should be entitled to a homecooked meal. This problem is preventable and I think we all as a whole should take the necessary steps to making our children, siblings, niece and nephews, and grand children healthier.
